The best film in libya

Hello every body ,today, I'm going to talk about my favorite film ,It is name omar almukhtar

Omar Al-Mukhtar

The film director Omar Al-Mukhtar is Mustafa  Akkad, moreover  Actor who plays Omar Al-Mukhtar is Antonio Quinn .

 Antonio Quinn
Omar Almuktar was known as the Lion of the Desert and now he is known as the King of the Martyrs, he is one of the most important Libyan combatants.
He was born in the small village of Janzour near Tobruk on 20th August 1861. He organized battles for nearly twenty years from 1921.
He led native resistance against the Italian control of Libya.
He started fighting with the Italian when he was 53 years old and before that he was A Quran teacher. He was martyred when he was 73 years old. During those twenty years he organized 263 battles.
The Italians captured and hanged him in 1931.
The last words before they hanged him were:
“We don’t give up... win or die... this isn’t the end... but would you have to fight with the next generation the generation that follows... but I... what I... my life will be longer than my hang man’s life”.

In short sentences:
He lived as a great person, and died as a great one too.
Today Mukhtar’s face appears shown on the Libyan ten-dinar bill.

Kind regards
Ibrahim Ateeg
